Glamour Girl Pinata: Lipstick This is a great project to make ahead of time for a dress up theme party. Use this for your party favor bag and fill it with party favors. Every girl gets to take one home or decorate one for a party activity. This adds a touch of color to the table setting and a little surprise for everyone. Before you do this activity check out Making Pinatas for home-ade pinata basic information To make mini pinata lipsticks use paper towel cardboard tube to form a lipstick case. Use aluminum foil to create the lipstick. Now paper mache on top of this. Don't worry about the bottom yet. Be careful when you paper mache the lipstick top. If you do dent it just work with it a little by sticking something like a bathtub scrub brush or long spoon up inside from the bottom and just mold it. Put about 2 layers of paper mache on it and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Get a container and use it to turn your lipstick upside down so you can work on the bottom. First fill your pinata up with the party favors. Now paper mache the bottom of the lipstick case, shut. Do use one sheet of newspaper cut a little bigger than the bottom and paper mache the sides of it to the sides of the case, to prevent any paper mache mix from falling into the pinata with the party favor. You can even secure this piece of newspaper with a rubber band. Add 2-3 layers of paper mache. Let the pinata dry at least another 24 hours. Decorate as desired.
